Uzbek and Belarusian businessmen signed contracts worth 92 million dollars

Businessmen of Uzbekistan and Belarus signed contracts worth $92 million at the business forum held in Minsk, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis reported.

On September 6, the first business forum of business circles of Uzbekistan and Belarus and women entrepreneurs was held in Minsk.

As a result of the "B2B" meetings between the businesswomen of the two countries, 42 contracts and 17 memorandums were signed in the amount of 92 million dollars.

"The final document (declaration) was adopted at the end of the forum. It reflected the issues of strengthening cooperation in trade-economic, investment, scientific-technical, socio-cultural, educational, humanitarian, tourism and other areas of mutual interest," the report said.

The event was attended by business circles and businesswomen representing the fields of industry and agriculture, food, pharmaceutical industry, cultural and humanitarian, as well as tourism and transport in Uzbekistan.

At the plenary meeting on the theme "Women in business - the potential for development of business cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan" organized within the framework of the forum, light industry, exchange of advanced technologies, manufacturers of fabric, clothing, shoes, fur and leather products were discussed. It was noted that the expansion of cooperation between the two countries will be of equal benefit to the businessmen of the two countries.

Development of relations in the field of IT, entrepreneurship, joint development of digital products especially for women, involvement of women in the digital economy, and exchange of experience in improving women's literacy and skills in this regard were also discussed.
