US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will visit Samarkand in October.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will visit Samarkand in mid-October. He will arrive in Uzbekistan accompanied by a business delegation comprising representatives from more than 100 American companies.
During the visit, Rubio will participate in the C5+1 ministerial meeting, attended by the foreign ministers of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
The meeting will address issues such as expanding economic ties in Central Asia, strengthening energy security, developing trade, and encouraging private sector investment.
Sergio Gor, the U.S. Special Representative for South and Central Asia, noted that the visit aims to advance the strategic partnership between the United States and Central Asian nations and to strengthen diplomatic and trade relations.
