The administration of U.S. President Joseph Biden warned the European Union and its member states to take drastic measures against travelers from certain countries in Central Asia. This is aimed at preventing possible terrorists from entering the United States, Bloomberg wrote.

The polls were previously linked to a group of migrants crossing the U.S. Southwest border with the help of a smuggler affiliated with the Islamic State (ISIS). This has raised concerns over attempts by passengers transiting through European airports to enter the United States on illegal routes.

U.S. officials want the European Union to require a transit visa at airports for citizens of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. A transit visa is a visa issued for the period required for transit travel (passage) through the territory of the country, in accordance with tickets and with the right to stop at the transfer point for a period of at most three days (72 hours).

White House officials did not respond to a Bloomberg inquiry into the matter.

In August, it was reported that the FBI had launched an investigation into more than a dozen migrants from Uzbekistan and other countries who sought asylum on the southern border of the United States. Officials had discovered that migrants crossed the border with the help of smugglers affiliated with the Islamic State.

The hasty secret intelligence report on this was sent to senior officials in President Joseph Biden's cabinet. However, the FBI has not identified any terrorist plans.
