Unknown disease spreads in DR Congo: at least 14 people die
A disease of unknown origin has spread in the Kwilu province of the Democratic Republic of Congo, killing at least 14 people. According to some sources, the number of victims is approaching 20.
The main symptoms of the disease are headache, vomiting, and pain in the abdomen and knees. Most worryingly, death can occur within a day after the first symptoms appear.
The situation has caused local residents to migrate to neighboring areas. Authorities are asking to send sanitary and medical teams to the area to determine the cause of the disease. The origin of the disease has not yet been officially determined.
