Unique historical artifacts returned from Europe exhibited in Uzbekistan

Unique historical artifacts dating back to the 2nd–8th centuries AD were returned to Uzbekistan as a result of international investigations in Europe and were exhibited for the first time at the Center for Islamic Civilization in Tashkent.
The returned items include Kushan-era statue heads, ancient wall paintings, Buddhist art samples, and artifacts from the Fayoztepa and Qara Tepe monuments. A unique stone cenotaph from the Timurid era was also presented.

The artifacts are said to have been illegally exported to Europe in the past. The process of identifying and returning them was carried out in cooperation with European law enforcement agencies, international organizations, and Uzbek specialists.
Experts emphasize that these finds are of significant scientific and cultural importance in studying the history of Uzbekistan and the entire Central Asia.
