UNDP in Turkmenistan held a workshop on land degradation neutrality

Land degradation neutrality was the main topic of the seminar held by UNDP in Turkmenistan in cooperation with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The workshop is part of a series of capacity building events in the area of achieving land degradation neutrality (LDN). It is organized within the framework of the project "Conservation and sustainable management of land resources and ecosystems of high natural value in the Aral Sea Basin for multiple benefits."
The project is aimed at assisting in the restoration and improvement of the use of land and water resources in the Amudarya basin.
The goal of the NBDZ is to conserve the land resource stock without a net loss of healthy and productive land. This requires an assessment of the likely impacts of land use and management decisions.
