Ukraine will file a lawsuit against Poland, Hungary and Slovakia at the World Trade Organization (WTO) because these countries refused to lift the ban on imports of Ukrainian agricultural products. Taras Kachka, trade representative of Ukraine, informed about this. "It is important to prove that these actions are legally wrong. And that's why we will start testing tomorrow," said the sales representative. According to him, Kiev is ready to take countermeasures against the export of Polish fruits and vegetables. "I think the whole world needs to see how EU member states treat their trade partners and their alliance, because it can affect other countries," Kachka said. Earlier, the European Union allowed to cancel the ban on the export of wheat, barley, rapeseed and sunflower seeds from Ukraine to Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria, which was introduced on May 2 and until September 15. After that, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia introduced unilateral bans on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products. The governments of these countries said that they are working to protect the interests of their farmers.
