UK interested in expanding presence in Turkmen market - ambassador

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the credentials of the new British Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Stephen Conlon, and discussed with him the prospects for Turkmen-British cooperation, the Turkmen state information agency reports.
The head of state discussed with the diplomat the possibility of integrating the advanced achievements of British entrepreneurs.
In a conversation with Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Conlon said that the business community of the United Kingdom is interested in expanding its presence in the promising Turkmen market. The Ambassador noted the creation of optimal conditions for doing business in the country.
In this context, the diplomat assured the president that he would make efforts to intensify bilateral partnership, including in the economic sphere.
Energy, finance, banking services, insurance, green technologies and agriculture were identified as topical areas of cooperation.
