Two workers killed after a BelAZ haul truck crushed a passenger vehicle in Navoi

Two workers were killed in a traffic accident involving a BelAZ haul truck and a service vehicle at the Muruntau mine in the Navoi Region.

According to NMMC JSC, the tragedy occurred at around 5:30 a.m. on July 21. Photos circulating on social media show that after the BelAZ ran over the service vehicle, the passenger car was almost completely crushed.

Law enforcement authorities are currently conducting a preliminary investigation into the incident. In addition, a special commission has been established to determine the causes of the accident.

NMMC JSC also stated that additional safety measures will be implemented to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
