On July 8, a Delta Connection flight with 80 people on board and an American Eagle plane nearly collided while landing at Syracuse Hancock Airport. They came vertically about 300 meters apart.
Although no one was injured in the incident, the situation raised serious concerns and the Federal Aviation Administration launched an investigation.
