Dawn reports that an explosion occurred near a mosque in Mastung, Balochistan province of Pakistan, as a result of which at least 52 people were killed.

"At least 52 people, including a policeman, were killed, and more than 50 people were injured," the publication writes.

According to law enforcement agencies, the explosion was carried out by a suicide terrorist.

Later, another mosque in Pakistan was bombed. The roof of the mosque in Hangu, located in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of northwestern Pakistan, completely collapsed due to an explosion. Local media, citing the police, reported that two people were killed and five were injured. It is noted that at least 40 people remain under the rubble.

According to Geo TV, the explosions took place near the mosques where people were gathering to celebrate Mawlud, the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
