Turkmenistan took part in the 10th interregional meeting of the National Commissions for UNESCO

Executive Secretary of the National Commission for UNESCO Chinar Rustemova took part in the 10th interregional meeting of the National Commissions of the member countries of the organization, reports the Embassy of Turkmenistan in France.

During the meeting, held as part of the 42nd session of the UNESCO General Conference, issues related to the consideration of reports, analysis of bilateral and multilateral initiatives, as well as improving the practice of interaction between regional structures and national commissions of the organization were discussed.

“The next interregional meeting demonstrated the strong commitment of the National Commissions for UNESCO to contribute to the ongoing process of implementation of the UNESCO Medium-Term Strategy for 2022-2029 and the budget for 2026-2029,” the statement said.

During the meeting, the deputy directors general of the organization, Xi Qu, Anthony Ohemeng-Boama, and the head of the UNESCO Strategic Planning Bureau, Zazi Schafer, spoke.
