Turkmenistan's private sector has increased food production by 29%

Private companies belonging to the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan demonstrated an increase in agricultural and food production volumes by more than 29% in January-April compared to the same period last year. In the industrial group of goods, the growth was over 9%.

Such figures were made in the report of Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Atdayev at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on Thursday.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on creating conditions for increasing exports by private sector enterprises, its role in ensuring food abundance in the domestic market and ordered to keep the stability of consumer prices under control.
