Turkmenistan's Permanent Mission to the UN will hold a meeting of the Friends of Sustainable Transport Group

The Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the United Nations will hold the third meeting of the Friends of Sustainable Transport Group via a virtual platform on May 10. The permanent mission announced this on its official web page.

The Group will present an overview of global initiatives in the field of sustainable transport, in particular on the preparation of the UN General Assembly resolution "World Sustainable Transport Day" and the upcoming GA High-level meeting, where this resolution will be considered.

The Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan also reported that the Republic of Nicaragua has joined the Group of Friends on Sustainable Transport.

The Group of Friends of the United Nations for Sustainable Transport (GFST) was established on July 6, 2022 by the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the United Nations at a meeting attended by more than 90 representatives of UN member States.
