Turkmenistan increased the purchase of timber products from the Perm Territory by more than 20%

Turkmenistan increased the import of timber products from the Perm Territory of Russia by more than 20%. The relevant data is provided by Rosselkhoznadzor.
Thus, in 2023, 8,728.91 cubic meters of timber products were sent from the region to Turkmenistan, which is more than in the same period last year, when 7,214.05 cubic meters of these products were delivered to the country. In total, 108 phytosanitary certificates were issued within the framework of export-import transactions.
Perm is one of the largest producers of lumber and is a leader in the production of high quality timber products. In Turkmenistan, timber is processed for the production of furniture and for use in construction purposes.
The region exports timber and other related products not only to Turkmenistan, but also to Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
