Turkmenistan and Slovakia agreed to strengthen economic and humanitarian ties

Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Berdyniyaz Myatiev and Slovak Ambassador to Turkmenistan (with residence in Tashkent) Viktor Boretsky called for further expansion of cooperation between the two countries in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, the website of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
The meeting was held in Ashgabat. Within its framework, Boretsky presented copies of his credentials to the Turkmen side in connection with his appointment to a new post.
The diplomats noted the relevance of holding the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, as well as mutual visits of business circles of the two countries.
To strengthen friendship between the two peoples, it was proposed to hold cross Days of Culture of Turkmenistan and Slovakia, as well as to organize exhibitions and other events.
Among the issues discussed were also prospects for cooperation in tourism, healthcare and education.
