Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Taalaibek Ibraev will arrive in Ashgabat on May 31 to sign an agreement on the supply of Turkmen electricity to the republic in 2024, Akipress reports.
“Tomorrow I will have a trip to Turkmenistan to sign an agreement on the supply of electricity for 2024,” the head of the energy department of the republic said on Tuesday.
According to the plans of the ministry, Kyrgyzstan should fully cover the deficit in electricity within 1-2 years. The Republic is a stable and one of the major buyers of Turkmen electricity.
