Turkmen weightlifters win five medals at the championship in Uzbekistan

Turkmen weightlifters won four silver and one bronze medals at the open championship of Central Asia among athletes under 17, which was held in Chirchik, Uzbekistan from June 22 to 24, Olamsport reports.
Weightlifters from Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Tajikistan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan competed in the regional competition for the title of the best weightlifters. The tournament itself was held within the walls of the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports.
Among the silver medalists of the championship are Galkan Rakhmanov in the weight category up to 81 kg, Myahriban Tachmuradova in the weight category over 71 kg, Didarbek Dzhumabaev in the weight category 67 kg and Shabnam Karimbayeva in the weight category 45 kg. Mayagozel Khurmenova won the bronze medal in the 55 kg weight category.
