Turkmen experts took part in the first Asian championship in the team intellectual game “Zakovat”, which was held in Uzbekistan, players of local teams told ORIENT “What? Where? When?".

The group was headed by the player Arslan Omadov. It included experienced connoisseurs from the Turkmen metropolitan Va-bank team, including Anton Perepelitsa and Khemra Atabaev. The tournament was a continuation of last year's Central Asian Championship, but this time the geography of the championship expanded noticeably: 50 teams from 14 countries competed.

The prize fund of 200 million soums (about $16.4 thousand) was contested by 300 players from Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Russia, Belarus, Armenia, UAE, Denmark, Israel, Latvia, Germany and Cyprus.

The intellectual competition took place in the Zakovat Arena. In the overall standings, the Russian teams Eclipse, Borsky Korabel, Basenji (Russia-Kazakhstan) were in the lead, the latter reached the final of the brain-ring with the champion of Uzbekistan, the Mystery team.

The game "Zakovat" is identical to "ChGK": the very concept and rules are formed on the basis of a popular TV quiz. The team of "masters of erudition" must answer the question of the game's viewers and network users in a minute, writing it down on a piece of paper. The team with the most points wins.
