Turkmen athletes won six medals - one gold, two silver and three bronze - at the international youth tournament, which was held in Aktau (Kazakhstan) from 23 to 26 August.
The only gold medal for the Turkmen team was brought by Ismail Gurbanberdiev, who successfully competed in the weight category up to 57 kg.
Hangeldi Lukmanov was awarded the silver medal in the weight category up to 46 kg. Shanur Artykbaev won another silver in the weight category up to 48 kg.
The bronze medalists of the international tournament were Mekan Sabyrov (up to 51 kg), Sapargeldy Nuryagdyev (up to 67 kg) and Mustafa Muhammetdurdyev (over 92 kg).
Recall that earlier Turkmen boxers won two bronze medals at the II Games of the CIS countries, which was held from August 4 to 14 in Belarus. Their owners were Ylham Nazarov and Ykhlas Bagtiyarov.
