Turkmen and Russian customs discussed draft joint agreements

The delegation of the Federal Customs Service of Russia arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit, where they met with representatives of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan. During the meeting at the central office of the department, the parties discussed draft future agreements, the press service of the Turkmen department reports.

In particular, we are talking about the draft Agreement on the mutual recognition of relevant institutions of an authorized economic operator, the Agreement between the Federal Customs Service and the State Customs Service on the organization of a simplified procedure for carrying out customs operations when moving goods and vehicles between the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan.

The delegates also discussed issues of information exchange of preliminary information and personnel training. The two-day visit of the Russian delegation was organized within the framework of the Joint Action Plan for 2022-2024 to develop customs partnership between Russia and Turkmenistan.

It is expected that today, September 19, delegates from Russia will visit the International Customs Terminal and hold negotiations at the customs department of the city of Arkadag.
