Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that Turkey has cut off diplomatic relations with Israel

"We, as the state and government of Turkey, have severed our ties with Israel," he said.
Since the start of the Israeli offensive in Gaza in October 2023, Turkey has condemned the actions of Tel Aviv, accusing it of massacring Palestinian civilians. The country has repeatedly called on Israel to cease fire and put pressure on the Jewish state.
Also, Turkish National Defense Minister Yasar Güler did not rule out the possibility of an Israeli attack on the country.
