Turkey is ready to play the role of a guarantor state for Palestine in reaching a peace agreement with Israel. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Haqan Fidan, the Star publication reports.

"Other countries should also be guarantors for Israel. After the two sides reach an appropriate peace agreement, the guarantor states must take responsibility for the fulfillment of the agreement's requirements," the minister said.

According to Fidan, this is the only way to achieve "long-term peace". Otherwise, if there are no guarantees, the people of Israel and the region will "never feel safe" and will continue to be "dangerous and persecuted by others."

"There will be continuous rotation in this framework," concluded the Turkish minister.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the conflict between Israel and Palestine should be resolved by creating an independent Palestinian state.

The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed a similar position.
