The national dish of Khorezm “Tukhum Barak” has been registered as a geographical indication. The Ministry of Justice reported this.

The unique composition and ancient method of preparation of this dish confirm that it is an integral part of the cultural and gastronomic heritage of Khorezm.

The status of a geographical indication now legally protects the name “Tukhum Barak” and allows it to be promoted as an official regional brand.
