Trump said in an interview with Fox News on February 10 that “Ukraine could become part of Russia” in the future. He also reiterated his offer to provide American aid to Ukraine in exchange for Ukraine’s natural resources, particularly rare earth metals. Trump said he and Zelenskyy are looking to reach a $500 million deal to give American investors access to rare earth and gas fields in Ukraine in exchange for security guarantees in a future peace treaty with Russia.
Trump has expressed confidence that Russia can end its war with Ukraine within 100 days.
