A new design of passports is planned to be issued in honor of the 250th anniversary of US independence. Their inner cover will feature a portrait of current President Donald Trump and his signature in gold.
The new design will also feature an excerpt from the "Declaration of Independence" by artist John Trumbull. These passports are expected to be issued mainly through passport agencies in Washington, while in other regions the usual design will remain. The number of such passports to be issued has not yet been announced.
At the same time, initiatives have also been put forward to use the president's signature on $ 100 bills and issue a 24-karat gold coin to mark the anniversary.
