Trump joked with reporters on April 29 that he would like to be the Pope of Rip. The reporters asked him who he would like to be the next leader of the Catholic Church.
"I would like to be the Pope. That would be my number one choice," Trump joked.
Today, May 3, he posted a photo of himself as the Pope on the social network Truth Social.

Recall that Pope Francis died on April 21 at the age of 88 in his Vatican residence after suffering a stroke. The election to elect a new Pope is scheduled for May 7.
