US President Donald Trump said during a speech at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington that he should go to heaven, but he does not consider himself an ideal candidate for it.
He accused the media of misinterpreting his words. Trump said that in one of his previous speeches he jokingly said that he “cannot go to heaven”, but these words were taken seriously. “I was just joking. Actually, I think I should probably go to heaven. Although I am not perfect, I have done a lot of good things for perfect people,” the US president said.
Recall that in an interview with Fox News in August 2025, Trump also expressed his hope to go to heaven, referring to his efforts to stop the conflict in Ukraine.
