Trump Announces ‘Largest in History’ Oil Deal with Venezuela

Donald Trump announced that an agreement had been reached to establish U.S. control over Venezuela’s proven oil reserves, which exceed 65 billion barrels.

According to him, the agreement will more than double the volume of oil reserves under U.S. control. More than $100 billion in investments are planned for 17 strategic oil fields in Venezuela.

The agreement was developed with the participation of representatives from the United States and Venezuela, as well as private companies. However, details have not yet been provided on which companies will participate in the project or how the United States will exercise control over the oil reserves.

Trump called the agreement the largest oil deal in world history.
