Transport ministers of Central Asian countries will meet in Dushanbe

The first meeting of ministers of transport of the Central Asian countries will serve as a platform for discussing transport and logistics issues and its further harmonization

Within the framework of the fifth consultative meeting of the leaders of the countries of Central Asia, a meeting of five ministers of the states of the region will be held.

This was reported in the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan.

Discussions on transport and logistics are scheduled for 13 September.

It is expected that the Minister of Transport of the Republic will chair the meeting.

Representatives of the transport sector of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan will also take part in the discussions, the ministry said.

This meeting will serve as a platform for harmonization of transport and logistics issues in Central Asia, the press service emphasized.

Rectors of universities from Central Asian countries will meet in Dushanbe

In particular, at the first meeting of ministers of transport of the countries of the region, a draft Agreement on strengthening the interconnectedness of land transport in Central Asia will be presented and approved, which will then be signed at the summit.

Recall that the fifth consultative meeting of the presidents of Central Asian countries will be held on September 14-15 in Dushanbe. The summit will be chaired by the head of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.

It is known that the meeting participants will discuss the effectiveness of the implementation of current agreements, as well as sign new agreements, including in the transport sector.
