Training in the field of human rights will be held in Turkmenistan

Turkmenistan is hosting a two-day online training on the topic "Best practices in human rights education in journalism. Cooperation of journalists with the Office of the Ombudsman on media coverage of human rights issues". This was reported by the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The speaker of the training is an international expert in the field of human rights Stephanie Lemke.
The seminar is held by UNDP in cooperation with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Turkmenistan.

Among the issues that will be raised at the seminar are measures to protect media freedom and the right to freedom of expression in the context of the experience of various countries. Human rights standards will be presented, in particular the Paris Principles, which were established in 1991 in Paris at the first International Seminar on National Institutions for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights.
