Train collision in Indonesia: 15 people killed
At least 15 people have been killed and more than 80 injured in a train collision in the Indonesian city of Jakarta.
The accident involved a taxi and three trains, with the train hitting a taxi that had stopped at a railway crossing. A second train then stopped, and about an hour later a third train arrived and hit the second train carriage.
Rescuers said some passengers were still trapped in the carriages and were working to extricate them. It was announced that the treatment of the injured and the funeral expenses of the victims would be fully covered by KAI and their insurance.
