A traffic police officer in the Navoi region who refused a thousand-dollar bribe offered by a violator was awarded a cash reward. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported this. It is noted that on April 7 of this year, a Lacetti car traveling on the Samarkand-Navoi route in the Karmana district was stopped by traffic police officers and the driver was found to be drunk. Some time later, the driver's father came to the traffic police officers and offered a bribe of 1,000 dollars in exchange for not sending the documents to court and removing the car from the penalty area. The traffic police officer reported this to the internal affairs bodies in the appropriate manner, and during the operational operation, the citizen was detained when he tried to give a thousand-dollar bribe.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 211 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and investigative actions are being conducted. Captain Sherbek Turkhanov, who refused to accept a bribe, was awarded a cash reward of 12 million 360 thousand soums by the state, 30 times the base calculation amount.
