Traffic police officer hits and kills a pedestrian in Samarkand
In the city of Samarkand, a Tracker police service vehicle driven by a traffic police officer struck a pedestrian.
According to the Regional Road Safety Department, the incident occurred at 6:15 p.m. on July 21 on Shabbod Street. The service vehicle hit a person born in 1951 who was crossing the road outside a designated pedestrian crossing. The pedestrian died at the scene from the injuries sustained.
A criminal case has been opened in connection with the incident. The investigation is currently underway.
