The issue of restricting the movement of trucks in the city during peak hours is being studied by the Tashkent city IIBB. The agency is conducting a survey on this topic on its Telegram channel.

According to it, the movement of trucks may be restricted between 07:00 and 10:00 in the morning and between 17:00 and 20:00 in the evening.

Currently, more than 4,400 people participated in the survey, 89% of them agree with this ban.

In October 2022, at the 71st session of the Tashkent City Council of People's Deputies, a decision was made to limit the speed of vehicles to 60 kilometers per hour on all streets located within the capital's Small Ring Road. The Permanent Commission and IIBB YHXB found it appropriate to limit the speed of vehicles to 60 kilometers per hour on all streets located within the Small Ring Road.

According to experts of the Institute of Forecasting and Macroeconomic Research, reducing the maximum speed in cities by 10 kilometers per hour will help reduce the death rate by 0.8 people per year (per 100,000 people). For Uzbekistan, this means saving the lives of 614 people.
