Tracker carrying kindergarten children involved in fatal crash in Andijan

A Chevrolet Tracker transporting 21 children to a private kindergarten was involved in a traffic accident in Khojaobod District, Andijan Region.

According to reports, on February 21, the vehicle, driven by a 40-year-old woman, crashed into a concrete roadside pole. The accident had not been publicly disclosed at the time. As a result, eight children sustained injuries of varying severity, and a six-year-old girl died in hospital four days later.

During the court hearing, the driver admitted that the children had been seated in the front seats, rear seats, and even in the cargo area of the vehicle. She expressed remorse for her actions.

The court found the woman guilty, banned her from driving for two years, and sentenced her to three years of restricted liberty.
