Tourism in Uzbekistan hits historic records

For the first time in the country’s history, inbound tourism is showing record-breaking numbers — since April 2025, Uzbekistan has been welcoming over 1 million foreign tourists each month. In the first nine months of the current year alone, Uzbekistan was visited by 8.6 million foreign tourists, which is 112.5% higher than during the same period last year.

 

Looking at the data by country, in 2025 the increase in tourist flows compared to the post-pandemic period of 2022 is as follows: from the United Kingdom — 2.6 times, Qatar — 6.2 times, the USA — 3 times, France — 2.9 times, Russia — 2.1 times, Hungary — 3.3 times, Germany — 2.5 times, and Poland — 6.2 times. Additionally, export revenue from tourism services reached a record level in 2025, exceeding 3.6 billion US dollars.

 

The unprecedented success of the domestic tourism industry is the result of profound reforms led by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sh.M.Mirziyoyev, and targeted efforts to unlock the country’s tourism potential. Active cooperation with leading global media platforms, large-scale roadshows abroad, participation in international exhibitions, and publications in foreign media have significantly strengthened Uzbekistan’s brand on the global stage.
