The Kazakh leader emphasized that the realization of the transport potential depends on constructive and good neighborly relations with all neighboring countries without exception.
BAKU, 1 Sep – Sputnik. In the medium term, traffic volumes along the Trans-Caspian route (Middle Corridor / TITR) can be increased five times, for this it is necessary to join efforts with partner countries - China, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey. This was stated by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during his annual message to the people.
According to him, the Trans-Caspian route should play an important role in strengthening the transit potential of Kazakhstan.
"The full implementation of the transport and logistics potential of Kazakhstan is of strategic importance. We are witnessing the formation of a new economic geography of the world. A rapid growth in trade flows from China to Europe, Russia, Central Asia and back is predicted," Tokayev said.
The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan noted that in the transport sector Kazakhstan will continue cooperation with Russia and China. He also recalled that the country is at the crossroads connecting the global North and South, West and East.

"This is our serious advantage, which opens up broad prospects. The transport and logistics industry should become one of the engines of the country's economic development," the President of Kazakhstan said.
At the same time, he stressed that the realization of the transport potential depends on "constructive and good neighborly relations with all neighboring countries without exception, including Russia, China, our good neighbors in Central and South Asia."
