In an interview with the Turkistan newspaper, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, assessing the physical condition of his colleagues, singled out Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. According to him, Mirziyoyev is in good physical shape and regularly engages in sports.
According to Tokayev, he himself meditates and practices yoga daily, plays table tennis several times a week, and has recently lost 9 kilograms. He also noted that other leaders, such as Putin, Aliyev, Japarov, Pashinyan, Lukashenko, and Rahmon, are also physically active.
According to Tokayev, a leader's physical education is important not only for personal health, but also for state governance: "The endurance and stability of a leader will be an example for the whole people. A healthy leader is the guarantee of a healthy society."
