The President of Kazakhstan delivered a speech at the 5th consultative meeting of the leaders of the Central Asian countries in Dushanbe.
Kazakhstan is firmly committed to the strategic direction of comprehensively strengthening multilateral cooperation with all Central Asian countries. The President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev said this in his speech at the 5th consultative meeting of the leaders of the Central Asian countries in Dushanbe.

"Kazakhstan can increase the volume of exports to the countries of the region with 175 non-raw goods. I believe that the main factor in expanding the volume of trade should be the business circles of our countries. Therefore, in my opinion, work on creating a comfortable environment for them should become a priority," said the press service of the head of Kazakhstan, quoting the words of Tokayev.

The President also paid attention to the full use of the transport and logistics potential of the Central Asian countries.

"This strategic area can become a base for the rapid development of the region. We are witnessing the formation of a new economic geography of the world. Trade flows to China, Europe, Russia and the Middle East are expected to increase. Central Asia is located at the crossroads connecting the global north and south, west and east. This is our serious advantage and opens wide prospects. At the current stage, the Trans-Caspian international transport route occupies a special place," Tokayev said.

According to him, Kazakhstan aims to accelerate the implementation of a number of large projects that will serve to expand economic relations with its closest partners. "We are talking about Dost-Moyint, Bakhti-Ayagoz, Darboza-Maqtaaral railway projects, as well as the Janaozen-Turkmenistan border highway. "In general, Kazakhstan intends to strengthen its position as a transit hub in Eurasia," the Kazakh leader said.

Tokayev also noted the importance of improving the existing mechanisms of cooperation in the field of security.

"We have a great opportunity to show the unique nature and culture of our countries to the whole world while jointly promoting the tourism brand "Central Asia", Tokayev believes.

"I am sure that the successful implementation of the set tasks will serve to further strengthen the relations of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership," he concluded.

The fifth consultative meeting of the leaders of the Central Asian countries was held in Dushanbe.

The event was attended by President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadir Japarov, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. In addition, the President of Azerbaijan Ilhom Aliyev attended the meeting as an honored guest.
