Since 1895, December 28 has been celebrated as "International Film Day".

That night, the Lumer brothers distribute posters on the streets of France to promote their first film. The entrance fee to the cinema was only 1 franc, but there were very few spectators. However, a week later, the number of people who wanted to see the cinematography of Lumers increased tenfold.

Therefore, this day was accepted as "International Film Day".
