TikTok star Xabi Laim arrested in US
Popular blogger Xabi Laim was arrested at Las Vegas airport on June 6 for violating US immigration laws. Laim, an Italian citizen, entered the US on April 30 but overstayed his visa. He was granted permission to leave the country voluntarily and was quickly released.
Xabi began posting videos on TikTok in 2020 after becoming unemployed due to the pandemic. In his videos, he mocks complicated advice on simple tasks and offers easy ways to do them. His TikTok account has more than 162 million subscribers.
