Ticket prices for public transport have changed in Samarkand

The fare is set at 2,000 soums if paid by cash and bank cards, and 1,600 soums if paid by special transport cards (ATTO).
According to the decision of the governor of the region, starting from September 6, 2023, fares for public transport in the city of Samarkand have changed.

According to the decision, the fare for traveling on buses, electric buses and trams in the city of Samarkand is set at 2 thousand soums when paid by cash and bank cards.

The fare is 1,600 soums when passengers pay through special transport cards (ATTO).

According to the decision, separate tariffs are set for residents, pensioners, disabled people, students and pupils, as well as persons entitled to free use of public transport.

In these tariffs, it is indicated that pensioners, disabled people, students and pupils pay 50% of the established tariff plan.

For information, Samarkand is the only city in Uzbekistan that has trams in public transport. A tram operated here in the 20th century and was closed in 1973. Since 2017, its traffic has been restored.
