Three Teenagers Threw a Speed Camera into a Canal in Andijan

In the Markhamat district of Andijan region, three underage teenagers knocked down a speed camera installed on the road and threw it into a canal.

According to reports, on January 9 the police received a notice that a speed camera on the Asaka–Markhamat highway had gone missing. As a result of оперативные investigations, it was found that the incident was carried out by three minors. They hit the camera with a wooden stick and then dumped it into a canal.

A criminal case has been opened under Article 169, Part 2, Clause “a” of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (theft). The device was later found near a drainage canal in the “Kotar­ma” neighborhood of Markhamat district and registered as material evidence. The investigation is ongoing.
