Three People Sentenced in Surxondaryo Case Involving Woman Detained with Infant in a Barn

Earlier, in the Uzun district of Surxondaryo region, it was reported that a woman had been detained for several months in a barn with her newborn child by her husband and relatives, exploiting the child’s speech defect (https://t.me/casiauz/10064).

According to the court ruling:

• A.Sh. was sentenced to 13 years in prison,

• M.Sh. and K.Sh. were sentenced to 9 years in prison each,

• Z.A. was given 5 years of restricted freedom.

They were found guilty of domestic violence, human trafficking, involving a minor in antisocial behavior, and illegal imprisonment using force.
