The number of people infected with measles is increasing in Kyrgyzstan. Since the beginning of 2023, more than 3,000 cases have been recorded, most of which are children under 10 years old.

The highest rates of the disease were recorded in the cities of Bishkek, Osh, Osh, Chui regions and, since September, in the Jalalabad region.

Three deaths have been reported since the beginning of the year. 1, 3 and 13-year-old children died. Additional vaccination against measles and rubella continues due to the increase in the incidence of the disease.
