Thousands rally for Palestine in Istanbul
On the morning of January 1, people gathered on the Galata Bridge in Istanbul after the morning prayer to show support for Palestine.
According to the Anadolu Agency, about 520,000 people took part in the event. About 400 civil society organizations called for an end to the violence in Palestine under the slogan "We are not afraid, we will not be silent, we will not forget Palestine."
Swedish singer Maher Zain also participated in the demonstration, performing the song "Free Palestine."
