Those who pay in cash on buses will be fined

Salimjon Nishonboyev, inspector of the Tashkent city territorial department of the Transport Control Inspectorate, reported that a passenger who pays the fare in cash may be fined. According to him, an administrative report will be drawn up against a passenger who intends to pay the fare in cash based on Article 144 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility (traveling in transport without a ticket) and a fine of 37,500 soums will be imposed in the amount of one tenth of the MCC. “If a passenger accepts the fare in cash, the driver must not accept it. A warning will be issued for the first time. If the violation is repeated despite the warning, an administrative report will have to be drawn up for both the driver and the passenger in accordance with the established procedure,” says Salimjon Nishonboyev.

❗️We remind you that cash payments on buses in Tashkent have been suspended since January 1. The limited fare for one passenger on public transport routes (buses and metro) is 3,000 soums, and if payment is made via an electronic payment system (transport or bank card), it will be 1,700 soums.
