“Those who committed this terrorist act against us will regret it” — Aliyev
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has issued a statement regarding the crash of two Iranian drones in the country. He called on the people to remain calm, saying that the situation is under state control and that any threat against Azerbaijan will be met with a firm response: “Such actions will be met with an ‘iron fist,’” Aliyev said.
He also said that the country’s Armed Forces, including the Defense Ministry and the State Border Service, have been put on high alert and must be ready to conduct any operation.
On March 5, two Iranian drones crashed near an airport and a school in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Two civilians were injured in the incident.
