On the night of September 28, a strong explosion occurred in the warehouse belonging to Inter Logistics LLC in the "Kurovchim" branch of the Sergeli district of Tashkent city. This was reported by the FVV press service.
It is noted that at 02:43 FVB was informed about the fire. Accordingly, 16 fire-rescue crews and 3 truck drivers arrived at the scene of the incident at 02:48. The fire is being extinguished.
A loud explosion can be heard in videos circulating on social media. Nearby houses were damaged. Trade and other centers were seriously damaged. Ambulances arrived at the apartments.
FVV denied reports that the incident occurred as a result of the plane crash. As of 06:25, firefighting operations are ongoing.
"The situation is under complete control. The fire was contained at 05:02. As a result of quick actions of FVV employees, the area of the fire is being reduced. From the first minutes, the leadership of the FVV and the forces and means, as well as the employees of the relevant organizations, have been working at the scene of the incident. In order to determine the cause of the fire, the special laboratory of FVV is working at the scene of the incident. A headquarters was established at the scene of the incident under the leadership of the FVV," the report said.
According to the Minister of Health, those injured in the explosion were brought to the Republican Emergency Medical Research Center and its branch in the Tashkent region.
"Until now, there are no serious injuries among them. At the moment, doctors are providing all the necessary medical assistance to the injured," the report said.
It was noted that doctors and all necessary stock of medicines have been created to provide rapid medical assistance in treatment facilities. Emergency medical care is being provided to those injured in the fire and in the surrounding apartments.
An employee of Sergeli District Criminal Investigation Department told "Gazeta.uz" that the reasons for the explosion have not yet been determined. The fire has not yet been extinguished.
According to Uzbekistan Airports, the explosion in Tashkent did not affect the operation of the capital's airport. The incident did not affect the operation of the capital's airport, "Tashkent" international airport is working in normal mode without restrictions.
